Mrs. Karon Henderson has been married to Mayor Berry “Skip” Henderson for over 33 years. They have raised their family here in Columbus, Georgia. Karon and her husband serve together on the leadership Council for the American Cancer Society.
Karon is a caring, compassionate and a loving woman of distinction. She is a woman that is always there to support her husband and family. To know her is to love her. She loves being outdoors caring for her beautiful flowers and being in tune with nature. We are so honored to call her our 1st Lady of Columbus, Georgia.

Renèe Lawless stars as Katheryn Cryer on Tyler Perry’s “The Haves and the Have Nots” on the OWN network. Renèe is also in pre-production of her own video blog series “Renèe’s Way or the Highway.” Born in Knoxville, Tennessee, Renèe is a graduate of Stetson University and did her master’s studies at the University of Cincinnati in Vocal Performance. A seasoned theater actress, she recently performed with the Broadway national tour of Wicked as the Midwife and understudy for Madame Morrible. Renèe also appeared on Broadway in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast as Eggtimer, Ms. Potts and Madame de la Grande Bousch. Renèe’s additional theatrical credits include Menopause the Musical, Always Patsy Cline, Brigadoon, My Fair Lady and Nine. In television and film, Renèe has been featured in “Heavens to Betsy” alongside Dolly Parton, Ghost Story, The Obituary and The Lucky Ones. Renèe currently resides in Los Angeles, California.

Evelyn Turrentine-Agee known as the “Queen of Quartet”, Is an award-winning gospel singer with a special place in her heart for the traditional gospel vocal harmony sound. She has received many awards and nominations, including two Stellar Awards, multiple Stellar Wards nominations, a Soul Train Lady of Soul nomination, and favorite Female Vocalist from American Gospel Quartet Convention. In 2000 she came out with one of many favorite songs “God Did It”.
